YouTube Premium Price increase in a latest announcement by the platform. As of July 2023, YouTube Premium International started raising its price from the United States. But now YouTube is breaking the hearts of millions of its users with its biggest price hike. In the United States, the monthly price of YouTube premium has risen to $2.
The Family plan that lets users add Six members was increased from $17.99 to $22.99 per month – an increase of 30%, and the same with other plans. Now YouTube Internationally announces its price rise in seven other countries from November 1, these Countries include; Argentina, Australia, Austria, Chile, Germany, Poland, and Turkey.
This is said to be the Highest Increase in YouTube Premium till the YouTube Premium was launched. In Australia, YouTube Premium price is now A$16.99 from A$11.99. YouTube also announced that the old YouTube Premium users can purchase it for the old price (A$11.99) for at least three months. However there has not been any announcement of price increase in YouTube Premium for students.
YouTube Premium Price increase in UK & Canada
In Canada & UK, the YouTube Premium Price increase will be from the 21st of November. In the UK, the YouTube Premium Family plan price will rise from £17.99 to £19.99, which is an increase of £2.
In Canada, the price of the Family plan will increase from CA$17.99 to CA$22.99 – an increase of 30%.
YouTube Pre Mails to Premium Users
Though YouTube said the price rise would start from November 1, YouTube was also sending emails to the Premium Users and telling them about the increase in price, which was obviously shocking for them. There is no distinction for different OS users, prices of Youtube Premium for iOS and Premium for Android are equally increased.
YouTube said in its mail:
‘We created YouTube Premium to provide an uninterrupted YouTube experience so that you can get closer to the videos, creators, and music artists that you love.’

“I’m canceling my YouTube Premium come December. If they REALLY saw me as a “long-standing and valued member”, then why are they forcing this price increase on me? It seems Google is getting a bit too greedy!”
